On a cold and wintery Sunday morning my sister Tara and I arrived at Hampton Court Palace to set up my stand for my favourite wedding fair.
The Hampton Court Palace Wedding Fair is a biannual event held in the stunning Garden Room. The HCP Events team are always very welcoming and helpful. It is no wonder why many bridal couples choose this gorgeous venue with exquisite service for their dream weddings!
I have been honoured to be invited to have a stand at this lovely event for several years now. With the help of Tara my stand is setup in no time, ready to showcase some of my hair and make-up artistry work.
I enjoy displaying my portfolios to share some of the beautiful images of weddings on which I have been lucky enough to be involved.
My friend Donna kindly agreed to be my demo model for this event. I always like to style a ‘Bride’ to help demonstrate the service I offer to Bridal parties. I also hope to give ideas and inspiration to the Bride-to-be as I know she wants to look her best on her wedding day.
Donna has lovely big eyes, so I wanted to concentrate on this feature for the bridal make-up. I used natural, warm tones on the eyes to bring out the colour of her eyes. I created a ‘Cat Eye’ with the eyeliner. I think this look is very flattering for Donna and enhances her natural beauty.
I used my GHD straighteners to create curls in Donna’s hair. Then I brushed through the curls to style the hair into a simple but elegant bridal hairstyle. This look has a wonderful vintage feel.
Tara whisked Donna away for a quick photo shoot using the lovely large windows of The Garden Room as a backdrop.
I was lucky to have two willing models for this wedding fair as I was able to style Tara’s hair and make-up before and after Donna sat for me.
I took full advantage by showing the guests another hair and make-up look which would be suitable for the Bride or Bridesmaids.
The Garden Room was alive with excited Bridal Couples, their family and friends taking advantage of all that was on offer. I am sure they found all they were looking for and more to make their Wedding Day special.
I was pleased to discover this Historic Royal Palaces’ banner using an image from a promotional photo shoot I worked on. These Royal Palaces are ideal venues for weddings and civil partnerships.
